Colour Influence is the first in a series where we look at colour in our life. Next we took a basic look at chakras.
Over the next few posts we’ll look at the 7 chakra colours as well as white and black. Each chakra colour has influence on a physical, emotional and mental level. We’ll also see how the colour is reflected in our clothes and décor. The last in this series was Violet at the crown chakra.
Today we’re looking at the colour WHITE
White contains an equal balance of all the colors of the spectrum, representing both the positive and negative aspects of all colors.
White is reflective, awakening openness, growth and creativity.
The colour White awakens the soul!
Visualization and Meditation with WHITE
Use the colour White in meditation visualisation techniques where you let White wash over and around you. White contains all the colours of the rainbow. It helps you find the truth.
Psychological Effects of the colour WHITE in Clothes
White clothing has been associated with cleanliness, purity and innocence. It is the colour of detachment. White reflects all colour so some wear it to keep cool in the sun.
Wear White to be cool!
The colour WHITE in Décor
White is used as a sign of cleanliness and efficiency. Medical and dental practices will often use too much white. This can lead to a feeling of sterility and coldness, creating an impression that the practitioner is lacking in emotional support to their patients.
Too much white can be TOO immaculate giving out signals of not touching for fear of making a mess. It can cause feelings of remoteness and bareness.
White can be sterile and cold!
Conclusion – the colour WHITE is clean and clinical and represents a “clean slate”.
Join me – next time we have a look at Black.
So tell me – How does White feel? Do you like the sense of cleanliness it gives?
